Decarbonizing Mediterranean Buildings for a Resilient Future in a Changing Climate
Beyond Efficiency: Healthy and Resilient Mediterranean Buildings
climamed 2027
On behalf of the Organising Committee, we are delighted to welcome you to CLIMAMED 2027, which will take place in person at Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), Spain, on 25–26 May 2027.
As a leading international forum for the HVAC&R community in the Mediterranean region, CLIMAMED brings together researchers, engineers, designers, manufacturers and other professionals to exchange scientific knowledge, share practical experiences and explore innovative solutions for the sustainable transformation of buildings.
About the congress
CLIMAMED 2027 will bring together the Mediterranean HVAC community to address the challenges of building decarbonisation, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and climate resilience, with particular attention to the increasing need to adapt buildings to heatwaves and a changing climate.
The congress will focus on the challenges of decarbonising Mediterranean buildings while ensuring comfortable, healthy and resilient indoor environments. Particular attention will be paid to energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, innovative HVAC technologies and adaptation to climate change, including the growing challenge of heatwaves.
CLIMAMED is part of REHVA’s three-year cycle of international HVAC conferences, alongside CLIMA and the Cold Climate conference. The congress is under the responsibility of the five HVAC associations of Southern European countries that ensure the membership of their respective countries in REHVA:
- AICARRAssociazione Italiana Condizionamento dell’Aria, Riscaldamento e Refrigerazione
Portugal - TTMDTurkish Society of HVAC and Sanitary Engineers
